1. Company Details
Great Ouse Plumbing & Heating is a plumbing and heating company working across Bedford, Kempston, Milton Keynes and the surrounding villages. We are a mobile service and work from our vehicles, so we do not operate public premises.
The trading entity is Great Ouse Plumbing & Heating Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17454629. Registered office: 5 Lymington Gardens, Bedford, England, MK41 0QJ.

2. Quotes and Pricing
- All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- Quotes are based on the information provided at the time. If site conditions differ from those described, we reserve the right to revise the price before work begins.
- The price we quote is the full amount payable unless a variation is agreed with you in writing before that additional work is carried out.
3. Bookings and Cancellations
- Work is scheduled once a quote is accepted and a convenient time agreed.
- Please give at least 24 hours notice if you need to change or cancel an appointment. Late cancellations may incur a call-out charge to cover travel and reserved time.
- We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to circumstances outside our control, with as much notice as possible.
- We offer 24 hour callouts for urgent work. Attendance times for urgent jobs depend on the work already booked in, and we will tell you honestly how quickly we can get to you.
- Where you agree work with us in your home, or at a distance by phone, email or through this website, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of entering into the agreement, without giving a reason. To cancel, tell us by phone or in writing using the contact details above before the 14 days are up.
- If you ask us to begin work during that 14 day period, for example an urgent repair or a callout, you may still cancel, but you will be liable for the work carried out and any materials supplied up to the point you cancel.
4. Workmanship
- All work is carried out to a professional standard in line with relevant industry guidelines, and all gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
- Any defects in our workmanship will be rectified, provided the equipment has been used correctly and has not been tampered with. The period of cover that applies to your job is confirmed in your written quote.
5. Equipment and Materials
- Equipment and materials remain the property of Great Ouse Plumbing & Heating Ltd until payment is received in full.
- We recommend equipment suited to your property and budget, but are not responsible for the performance of third-party manufacturers beyond the terms of their own warranties.
- Manufacturer warranties on new boilers are registered on your behalf. Most require an annual service to remain valid, and keeping that service up to date is the owner's responsibility.
6. Payment
- Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept bank transfer and cash. Card payments may be arranged by prior agreement.
- Late payment may result in suspension of any ongoing support or maintenance.
7. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out. We are not liable for any indirect losses, including loss of business or consequential damage, arising from equipment failure. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Website Use
This website is provided for information purposes. We take reasonable care to keep it accurate and up to date, but cannot guarantee that all information is complete or current at all times. Prices shown on the website are guides and are confirmed in your written quote.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
